Our Board

June Kress

June Kress served on the Anne Frank House board from 2009 until 2020, and for nearly a decade chaired the organization’s Development Committee, focusing on corporate, foundation and community fundraising initiatives. Since 1991, June has played a major role as a volunteer leader in DC’s homelessness arena. She was one of the founders of Friendship Place and the St. Luke’s Shelter for Homeless Men in Northwest DC, and served as co-president and board chair of both organizations for many years. June has also served as Vice President of Membership for the Adas Israel Congregation Sisterhood since 2013 where she has been a congregation member since 2008. June worked in the field of criminal justice for more than 30 years and from 2004 to July, 2017, served as Executive Director of the Council for Court Excellence. She is now a consultant to the nonprofit sector, providing strategic advice on governance and board of director engagement, and a leadership coach in the corporate, government, and nonprofit sectors with an emphasis on workplace performance challenges among leaders and aspiring leaders.
