Welcome to Anne’s Place (old)

Anne's Place Mission

Anne’s Place is a Washington, DC-based independent non-profit organization dedicated to providing permanent supportive housing to some of the city’s most vulnerable individuals.

Our mission is to transition formerly homeless men and women into comfortable, fully furnished single-occupancy apartments located in Northwest DC. These residences are conveniently situated near shopping and public transportation. Residents contribute an average of $250 per month or 25% of their income toward rent and case management support, with Anne’s Place covering the remaining costs.

Join us in our commitment to end homelessness in Washington DC. Together, we can make a lasting difference.

A Note on Renaming

Anne Frank House DC was founded in 1987 by a group of volunteers who were inspired by Anne Frank’s grace and resolve in her struggle to survive.

Recognizing that using the name “Anne Frank House” has caused confusion with the museum of the same name in the Netherlands, our Board of Directors recently decided to rename our organization.

On March 1, Anne Frank House became Anne’s Place and Anne Frank’s indomitable spirit continues to drive our mission.

Please join Anne’s Place to provide long-term, supportive housing to an expanding number of DC’s most vulnerable people in Washington, DC.

“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.”

-Anne Frank
